Training Sessions
Our training sessions suit runners of all abilities and backgrounds. Whether you're looking to just get fit, lose weight, beat your personal best or train for a specific race we have experienced coaches and motivated runners who will be happy to help and support you. We typically train 4 times every week. Each session is designed for a specific goal (e.g. time, endurance, distance etc) but can be tailored to meet your needs if required.
There is no commitment to take part in any of the sessions, so feel free to pick and choose the days and sessions that suit your personal timetable and objectives. All sessions are free of charge to members, so there is no booking in or payment to worry about, simply turn up and enjoy it.
Note: Non-members are welcome to attend our sessions for the first 30 days as a taster, before deciding whether to join us as a full member

Days and Times
Distances: 5k = 3.1 miles | 10k = 6.2 miles | Half Marathon = 13.1 Miles (21k)
Note: We ask our runners to be at the session 10/15 minutes before the start time so that sessions can start promptly.
Dress: There is no dress code for training - Just come along in suitable running trainers and comfortable running clothes. (More info on kit / gear)

All training starts at: Virginia Park Golf Club, Caerphilly, CF83 3SW
Distances: 5k = 3.1 miles | 10k = 6.2 miles | Half Marathon = 13.1 Miles (21k)
- Sundays at 9.00 am (Distance running - Choose from 3 to 13 mile routes, depending on your fitness / ability)
- Sundays at 9.00 am (Sofa to 5k - Group 1 - beginners looking to work up to 5k, Group 2 - runners who can run 5k and are aiming to do Caerphilly 10k on 18th June 2017.
- Tuesdays at 6.00 pm (5k route - or interval training - Improve your stamina and speed / try beat your personal best)
- Wednesdays at 6.15 pm (Sofa to 5k - A great way for beginners to start running and build up their fitness levels - more info)
- Wednesdays at 7.00 pm (A mixture of interval and distance training - Various distances typically 5k or 10k+ depending on your ability)
- Thursdays at 6.00 pm (5k route - or interval training - Improve your stamina and speed / try beat your personal best)
- Thursdays at 6.00 pm (Trail running - meet at Van Road Forestry car park - *headlamps needed in winter)
