Caerphilly Runners History
Caerphilly Runners started in 2012 as a small group of friends, who met a number of times each week to run. The group rapidly increased in popularity and numbers, so we decided to become an official running club. In Jan 2015, we affiliated to Welsh Athletics and Caerphilly Runners was born. We now have over 240 members and regularly attend official running events throughout Wales and the UK.
Our Aim and Objectives
We pride ourselves on being a community based running club, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Through regular training sessions and effective coaching, we aim to help our members keep fit and healthy, and achieve their personal running and fitness goals (whatever they may be).
We also attend many official running events* throughout the year as a club (*all events are optional to members). This gives our members a chance to enjoy a day out with friends and celebrate their fitness. You can also enter our annual club championships.
We always encourage our members to help each other wherever possible too, creating a club with friendly, positive "running family" atmosphere.

Our running leaders will support you along the way and participating with fellow runners will make the experience all the more enjoyable.
