Caerphilly Runners Championship 2019
Everybody who is a fully paid up member of the club and joined before the 1st January 2019 is part of the championship by default, in addition you must have completed at least of the 4 events to qualify for the championships. Your age category will be based on your age as of January 1st 2019. You will need to provide your age category to the championship organizer (Liam Bryson in 2019)
If you have entered and complete any of the races then you will receive championship points for your position, once the race results have been verified. Points will be awarded based on your position in terms of Caerphilly Runners in the race, and the more races you enter then the more points you will get. I.e. the first Caerphilly Runner home will receive the most points, the second placed runner one point less and so on. The exact number of points awarded to the winner will be determined by the total number of entrants in the championship.
There are twelve races in total with a mixture of routes, terrains, distance and even size of the event. By the end of the year you must have entered and completed at least 4 races to qualify for the championships. Remember the more races you enter the more points you will get.
Bonus points (only awarded once)
150 points for the completion of any marathon
75 points for the completion of any half marathon
If you complete one of the above and this is also a championship race then you will receive the bonus points in addition to the points you receive based on your position in the race
